2. What data does this website collect?
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, or any scripts that collect personal data from visitors. No data about your browsing behaviour, device, or IP address is collected or stored by us when you visit this site.
3. Login, registration and account management
User account registration and login on this website are handled by PhotoShelter, a third-party platform. When you register or log in, you are interacting with PhotoShelter’s systems, not ours. PhotoShelter acts as a data processor (and in some respects an independent data controller) in respect of that account data.
PhotoShelter’s privacy policy governs how that data is collected and used, and can be found at:
https://www.photoshelter.com/privacy
We encourage you to read PhotoShelter’s privacy policy before registering.
4. Image licensing transactions
When you licence an image through this website, the transaction is processed via PhotoShelter. In connection with fulfilling your licence agreement, we may receive and retain the following information:
- Your name and company name
- Your address
- Details of the image(s) licensed and the agreed usage
Lawful basis: Contract — processing is necessary to perform the licence agreement with you.
Payment card data is handled entirely by PhotoShelter’s payment processing systems. We do not receive or store your card details.
5. Business communications
If you contact us directly by email or through a contact form, we will use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests — responding to business enquiries.
6. Sharing your data
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed only where required by law or by a regulatory authority.
7. Retention
Licensing and transaction records are retained for a minimum of six years to comply with UK tax and accounting obligations. Contact enquiry data is held only as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry.
8. International transfers
We do not transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. PhotoShelter, as a US-based company, may process data internationally — please refer to their privacy policy for details.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no compelling reason to continue holding it
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@actionplus.co.uk with the subject line “Data Request”. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the opportunity to resolve any concern directly first — please contact us at info@actionplus.co.uk.
